Nate is a dedicated community advocate. He has mentored countless youth through his work with Young Chicago Authors. Currently he serves as the Director of National Programs at YCA. Through this role he helps partners across the US and globally to develop programming and partnerships that offer powerful platforms for youth voice and empowerment. Formerly Nate also endowed and ran the Lost Count Scholarship Fund. This program offered a book scholarship to Chicago Public Schools graduates matriculating to high education. Students in this scholarship program were asked to envision new ways of understanding and combating community violence in Chicago.
